The orientation sessions for international exchange students at the Department of international business and business administration of IBS were held on the 4th -8th February 2019.

24 international exchange students studied at IBS in the fall semester. They have already returned to their  universities and schools in France, Italy, Switzerland, Spain and Belgium and shared their impressions about studying at IBS, living in Moscow, travelling across Russia and about their new Russian friends in their video-testimonials and interviews.

A new group of exchange students has arrived for the spring semester. They come from NEOMA Business School (France), IE Business School (Spain), Montpellier Business School (France), School of Business of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland, EM Normandie Business School (France). For the first time IBS is also hosting students from its new partners - Hochschule Pforzheim University and International University of Monaco.

During the orientation week the students  had an opportunity to learn about the history of IBS and RANEPA, our Moscow campus, administrative rules and regulations,  the process of academic integration, the specific aspects of the learning process, program course lists and syllabi. They also attended a lecture "Welcome to Russia", which has become a tradition for IBS orientation sessions.

IBS has a well-developed buddy-system, where second-year and third-year Russian students of the Department of international business and business administration help international students adapt, get used to a new country, its people, customs and traditions.  Russian students are also always enthusiastic about providing informal help to international students both in everyday and academic life.  This semester we especially want to thank Vladislav Gorbunov, Nikita Anisimov (3d year students of BIM program), Ekaterina Komarova (a 2nd year student of BIHRM program), Sabina Smolnikova (a 1st year student of BIHRM program) for their support to international students.

Good luck to our new students and welcome to IBS!

Zemfira Galimullina,
International Student Coordinator,
Department of international business and business administration of IBS
