I am an exchange student here in Ranepa from the International University of Monaco.
I was born in Milan but in the past years, I have been indeed living in the Principality, where I have many Russian friends who arose in me the curiosity to come and visit their country. I travelled pretty much all around the world however Russia has never been a destination of mine that is why I opted for Moscow: having the opportunity to discover a new lifestyle and especially a new interesting language.
My degree is Business Administration and here being enrolled in the IBS department I could choose among a variety Management courses from both bachelor and master programs. I really liked the approach: thanks to the limited number of classmates, we could have interactive lectures discussing with the professors our opinions.
I appreciated staying in the dorms here: for me a new experience. I got to know students from different parts of Russia who shared with me their different backgrounds and at the same time I was really pushed to talk and practice the language.
I normally live in a country as big as this university so for me the distances were the first challenge here nevertheless I enjoyed Moscow a lot. It is a city which can literally offer anything if you know where to go. Amazing restaurants, breathtaking rooftops and best clubs, from the underground ones to the fanciest.
Do not be concerned with the weather it is not as bad as you may think, in May I am already tanned so the sun exists even in Russia.
During the stay, you will have local holidays, a way to travel and discover the country; I personally recommend the historical city of St Petersburg and the savage trip to the lake Baikal. I am ultimately so proud of my choice, in these months I have made great connections, which I will bring with me for the rest of the life.
