On February 1st, international exchange and dual- degree students from IBS-Moscow partner universities started their studies online.  


The Institute of Business Studies Moscow welcomed 15 international students at its Bachelor and Master Programs for the spring semester of 2020-2021 academic year, among them are:

  • 5 Bachelor students and 3 Master students from NEOMA Business School (France), Pforzheim University (Germany) and University JAMK (Finland). Students are enrolled in International Management exchange programs of the Department of International Business and Business Administration of the Institute of Business Studies Moscow (FMBDA)  
  • 2 students from the Université Côte d’Azur (within the framework of member of the Russian-French University), France who follow a fourth-year course at the Bachelor in International Management program of FMBDA
  • 5 French students from NEOMA Business School who have started their spring semester at FMBDA dual degree bachelor program «Managing Disruptive Projects in International Business»

Traditionally, “orientation meetings” for foreign students serve as an important element of adjusting to online learning, new socio-cultural environment, time zone difference, a new educational system, a new language of communication the international nature of study groups.

Zemfira Galimullina, International Programs Coordinator for IBS-Moscow moderated the online meeting. She welcomed students, gave an introduction into the history of the Academy, IBS-Moscow and spoke about administrative and migration requirements. Anastasia Aipova, International Development Manager of the International Development Department of RANEPA presented the campus and the infrastructure of the Academy, formal requirements for students' documentation, and told about RANEPA student events.

The presentation of Artem Matveev, Head of the IBS-Moscow Student Council, was met with a vivid interest from the international audience when he spoke about extracurricular activities and other student events initiated by the Student Council of IBS-Moscow and RANEPA. Artem also introduced his fellow Bachelor program students, the Learning Management System (LMS) and his own study-abroad experience at the University of Hertfordshire, UK in the spring semester of 2020 within the ERASMUS+ framework.

Jessica Grunwald from the University of Applied Sciences, Bielefeld, Germany, shared her “first hand” online learning experience at IBS-Moscow in the fall semester of the current academic year. The meeting was followed by a lecture “Welcome to Russia”, delivered by Olga Neklyudova, Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of International Relations, IBS-Moscow.

After the break, new international students went into the program-specific meetings held by the programs directors. Maria Bernstein, Director of Master in International management program, conducted a session for international undergraduate and graduate students of FMBDA and RFU. Alexey Svishchev, Director of the bachelor program "Managing Disruptive Projects in International Business" (a joint program with NEOMA Business School), introduced the Russian part of the program to the French students.
