The master class was organized within the course “CSR and sustainable business development” delivered by Natalia Yankovskaya for the 3rd year undergraduate students of the International Relations Department.

Mriya Resort & SPA is the world's leading premium resort, located on the southern coast of Crimea between a picturesque mountain range and the endless expanse of the sea. Over the years, the hotel has received recognition from the international tourism community and has received 31 world, 26 European and 48 Russian awards in the hospitality industry.

Providing high service, the company pays great attention to social and environmental responsibility. The system of corporate values within the business is represented by internal corporate forums, loyalty programs for employees, corporate volunteering and a corporate university. Through systematic business interaction with external organizations and structures, such as local communities, government organizations, government agencies, educational institutions, charities, public organizations and the media, the resort invests in long-term positive changes in the society.

The social mission of the resort is to strengthen connections between generations, through attention to the interests of everyone. Elena Pavletsova spoke about the main areas of assistance to young people with disabilities, families in difficult life situations, families with experience of guardianship and children with orphan status, elderly people and World War II veterans, environmental communities and even animals (cats and dogs).

In her presentation, Elena Pavletsova paid special attention to the development of corporate volunteering, event formats and charity partners. Students wishing to do an internship or come for an internship at Mriya Resort & SPA were given the task:

  • Video card: you need to tell about yourself and your work experience. Have you had any experience working in a social sector?
  • Complete the task: a charitable foundation plans to do renovations. The representative asks a volunteer for help. What questions should you ask the fund? How to proceed?

Elena noted: “In Crimea, Mriya Resort & SPA is the locomotive of the republic’s development in the field of tourism. Our goal is to be a driving force in promoting the agenda of sustainable development, social and environmental responsibility of business, making the region attractive for the work of the younger generation, creating better recreation, wellness and travel!”
